There are three policy directions for the architect archives. Firstly, it needs to make a managing system for comprehensive records mainly based on architect. Secondly, it should be reinforced complex functions and roles to create a cultural value of records of architect. Thirdly, architectural culture has to be spread out and public service for citizen should be developed. In addition, the aims of architect
archives in this research are ‘collecting past materials’ to understand current situations of architecture and ‘promoting architects’ to set up future value and direction.
The aims of the architect archives are to establish a basement of recording system for preserving value of modern architects, to secure a cultural center for creating value of modern architecture and to advertise Korean architectural culture through utilization of records of architect.
