2022 AURI Open Research Conference

The Architecture & Urban Research Institute (AURI) held its virtual “2022 AURI Open Research Conference” live on February 22, Wednesday at the institute conference room. This conference was held to present the research and projects conducted by AURI in 2022 to the public and share the research projects selected by the public through a survey conducted in advance to communicate and identify with the public. 

First, presentations were given on reports selected as excellent research projects in 2022, starting with “Rethinking Architectural Competitions of Public Buildings: Issues and Challenges in the Building Process (Lim Yookyoung),” which was followed by presentations on “Project for Creating a Sustainable Walking City (Oh Sunghoon)” and “An Institutional Reform Plan for the Rational Management of the Architectural Review Committee (Lee Yeokyung).” 

This was followed by presentations on the key research projects selected through a public survey of 1,064 participants, which included “Developing an Integrated Network of Playspaces and Community Resources for Promoting Children’s Right to Play (Kang Hyunmi),” “Policy Proposal for Introduction and Utilization of Neighborhood Based on the Daily Life (Jang Minyoung),” and “Improving Building Standards of Small Multi-Family Residential Developments in Response to Increasing Single-Person Households” (Kim Sangho). The presentations were given by the principal investigators of each project.
