: HUE Green Smart City, A Sustainable City Where History and Future Coexist

The Architecture & Urban Research Institute (AURI) hosted the "2023 2nd AURI Architecture & Urban Forum" on Thursday, August 3, in the institute's conference room. Under the theme of "HUE Green Smart City, A Sustainable City Where History and Future Coexist," the event brought together delegations from Thua Thien Hue Province, Vietnam, and experts in architecture and cities to discuss how cities can protect their urban historical heritage and pursue sustainable development. 

The event commenced with a presentation by Vice Permanent Chairman Nguyen Thanh Bình of the Thua Thien Hue Province, titled "An Introduction of the Thua Thien Hue Province and the City Development Plans." This was followed by a presentation on "Introduction to the Smart+Building and How to Apply to NEOM?" by Seongwoo Nam, Associate Research Fellow at AURI. Changsun Jang, Lead in Transport and Sustainable Mobility at the Global Green Growth Institute, introduced "GGGI E-Mobility Strategy for Members," and Jongsu Yoon, CEO of GBike, presented on "Hue Green Transportation with Gbike." The event ended with a presentation from Geauchul Lee, Research Fellow at AURI, on "Preserving Urban Identities through Architectural Assets," followed by a discussion of urban challenges in Korea and Vietnam.
