This study aims to establish the concept of a ‘living hub’ that can effectively support the expansion of the living population in areas experiencing population decline and to develop customized creation and operation plans reflecting the characteristics of the living population and local conditions. To achieve this, the study diagnoses the types and demand characteristics of the living population, concretizes region-specific customized living hub project implementation plans, and proposes directions to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of the living population system in future policies for depopulating regions.
