Purpose of the study
- Proposing improvement measures for pedestrian safety laws and related laws and systems centered on 'pedestrian streets'
- As an extension of institutional changes to improve the pedestrian environment and strengthen the right to walk, the concept of 'pedestrian street' and related regulations are to be overhauled to establish a continuous, integrated, and systematic management plan that encompasses various walking spaces.
- This study proposes institutional challenges and alternatives to more closely protect pedestrian safety blind spots, while providing evidence to support the need and direction of institutional improvement.
