‘Various Attempts at Village Regeneration:
Transitional Urbanism & Tactical Urbanism’

The Architecture and Urban Research Institute held the 2nd Auri Community Regeneration Seminar on July 1 (Fri) at Cafe Sorel, Gunsan. Under the theme of 'Various Attempts at Community Regeneration: Transitional Urbanism & Tactical Urbanism', this seminar discussed the case of Cabanon Vertical, a French urban architectural group that is proposing and implementing a Transitional Urbanism project. Envisaged as a venue to examine case studies of using tactical parentism to create a people-centered urban space, the seminar also discussed new attempts and methods for urban space regeneration in Korea.

For the first presentation, designer Emilie Jaguin and manager Chloé Lechalupé explained the organizational structure and project status of Cabanon Vertical. In this regard, 'Aix-en-provence', 'Village d' Alix (Lyon)', and 'Carriet (Bordeaux)', which were carried out by Cabanon Vertical, were introduced consecutively in turn, and the methodology and development process for the urban regeneration project linked with resident participation was introduced.
