The Architecture and Urban Research Institute held the second AURI Architectural City Forum on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, in the conference room of the institute. With invited experts in the architecture and urban research areas, the forum was held to share knowledge, diagnose policy issues and plan research projects.

Under the theme of "Rights to cities," Kang Hyun-soo, director of the Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements, explained the right of all urban residents to enjoy city benefits, to participate in city decisions, and not to be excluded from the city - the concept of the right to cities claimed by French philosopher Henri Lefebvre in his book 'Production of Space' in the 1960s, and announced the implications of the "City Commons" in terms of places and spaces that affect our lives.

In the following panel discussion moderated by Lee Young-beom, director of the Architecture and Urban Research Institute, Choi Yoo-kyung, head of the Social Value Legislation Team, the Korea Legislation Research Institute, was invited to explain the main issues of "Social value issues brief - City Commons." Oh Sung-hoon, Yeom Chul-ho, Ko Young-ho, Kang Hyun-mi and Cho Si-eun from the Architecture and Urban Research Institute participated the discussion.
